Ph.D. Public Defence of Mr. Naveed Gul - May 21, 2024
Mr. Naveed Gul successfully defended his Ph.D dissertation under the supervision of Dr. Naila Nazir, Associate Professor. His research topic was "An investigation into a socio-economic fit between vehicular emissions and economic activities - A case study of commercial vehicles"  Dr. Arshad Bhatti, Associate Professor, International Islamic University, Islamabad and Dr. Nadeem Iqbal, Assistant Professor, University of Peshawar served as his external and internal examiners, respectively.

Meeting of the Faculty of Economics Department, University of Peshawar
A meeting of all faculty members, called by Chairman of the Department of Economics, was held on February 27, 2017, in the department’s library. Various issues were discussed in relation to an earlier meeting of the department’s chair with the Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences. Key decisions regarding ongoing academic programs, discipline, examinations and other related matters, were taken.

A seminar was arranged at the Department of Economics, University of Peshawar by the Competition Commission of Pakistan, on February 23rd, 2017. The theme of the seminar was "Unhampered Competition is a Pre-Requisite for Enduring Economic Success". It was attended by the faculty and students of the Department of Economics.
Public Defense of Miss. Bakhtmina Zia, M.Phil Scholar, Department of Economics, University of Peshawar
Miss. Bakhtmina Zia, M.Phil. Scholar of the Department of Economics, successfully defended her thesis during a public defense on December 20th, 2016. Her thesis is titled as: IMPACT OF DEFENSE EXPENDITURES ON ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT: EVIDENCE FROM DEVELOPING COUNTRIES. She completed her research under the supervision of Dr. Sajjad Ahmad Jan, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics, University of Peshawar. The external examiner was Dr. Zahoor Khan, Assistant Professor, IMSciences Peshawar.
