The English Literary Society along with the faculty of English under the supervision of Ms Amina Noureen, the Head of the English Department, arranged a play on 6^th November, 2024. The drama performed was a spin-off of the Christopher Marlowe’s classical play Dr Faustus which was renamed as “Dr Faustine”. The remake provided a feminine perspective of the deadly sins with an enigmatic female lead (Saliha Bangash) and the fearsome Mephistopheles (Subaha).The students casted as the deadly sins and devils showcased their talents which received magnanimous applause from the audience. From the chorus, the costumes, the stage decor till the spot light coordination; the teacher Incharge Drama (Ms Ummama), and the student Incharge Drama (Ifra shakeel) along with their cast and crew of the play poured their sweat and heart in this production. The performance was greatly appreciated and lauded by the Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Shazia Shah and the guest of honor Dr. Tabassum Javed. Dr. Gulnaz Bano, the Principal, was greatly honoured in providing a plateform that foster creativity, confidence, teamwork, and leadership in students.
