HESSA International Summit Design Theme Competition
The HESSA (Higher Education System Strengthening Activity) project is a US-AID-funded project aimed to strengthen the higher education system in Pakistan.
The HESSA is organizing its annual International Summit from June 10-12, 2024, in Islamabad.
In preparation, they have announced a summit design theme competition for undergraduate students currently enrolled at universities. One final entry will be submitted from each university according to the guidelines given below:
Conference title: Shaping the future of higher education in Pakistan
Conference tagline: Educate | Innovate | Elevate
Eligibility: Students actively enrolled in any undergraduate degree program
(Only individual participation/entries will be allowed. No team entries)
Submission Guidelines:
- Submissions must be original, without plagiarism or the use of copyrighted materials, or assistance from teachers/mentors.

Contestant will have to design:
- one creative banner (size: 8’ width, 4’ height) clearly mentioning the conference title, tagline, and dates mentioned in first three bullets
- one creative poster advertisement (size: A4) using the sample content available here: https://hessa.utah.edu/summit/
- Contestant should not create a logo for the event. However, the text design can be used in a creative way to ensure a unique design identity for the event.
- Logos of USAID, HEC and implementing partner institutions (Utah, Alabama, IIE) can be placed on top header as per sample web banner here: https://hessa.utah.edu/summit/

- Any suitable color combination may be used for the design, however, we prefer the red color palette: https://brand.utah.edu/branding/colors/
- Submission should be done in JPG format, high resolution, file size up to 2MBs, at least 300DPI
- If selected, the HESSA project will have the ownership and usage rights of the winner.
All the students are encouraged to participate. The entries shall be submitted by March 15, 2024, at hessa@uop.edu.pk
