ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

ELIGIBILITY FOR MS/MPHIL:

  1. Candidates having relevant BS/M.A/M.Sc degree or equivalent (minimum 16 years of education) with at least a CGPA of 2.5/4.0 (in Semester System) or 2nd Division (in Annual System) from a HEC recognized University, shall be eligible for admission.
  2. The candidates should pass university admission test by obtaining at least 50% marks OR already have a valid GRE/HAT General/NTS/ETC/ETS test score of at least 50% marks.

 

ELIGIBILITY FOR PhD:

  1. Candidates having relevant MS/MPhil (minimum 18 years of education) degree with at least a CGPA of 3.0/4.0 (in Semester System) from a recognized University, shall be eligible for admission. 
  2. The candidates should pass university admission test by obtaining at least 60% marks OR already have a valid GRE/HAT General/NTS/ETC/ETS test score of at least 60% marks.

Submission of the Statement of Purpose by the scholar along with the application form.

MOST IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS:

  • A candidate who already has a valid GRE/HAT General/NTS/ETC/ETS score card is not required to appear in departmental test to be conducted by the concerned department/institute /centre/college for Fall 2023-24 admissions.
  • The concerned department/institute/centre/college will inform all the candidates of their departmental test date, time and venue.
  • Only those candidates will be considered for admission whose results are properly declared/notified by the Controller of Examinations on or before 19th September 2023.
  • Candidates employed in any Government or Semi-Government department/ organization must submit a No Objection Certificate from the concerned department/organization prior to provisional admission.
  • Provision of hostel accommodation will be subject to the availability of seats and shall not be claimed as a matter of right.
  • If found ineligible during scrutiny, the candidate shall not be allowed to appear in the interview even if he/she has qualified for the GRE/HAT General/NTS/ETC/ETS or departmental test. Further, if the candidate appears in the interview and is later found to be ineligible for any reason, his/her admission will be cancelled at any stage. 
  • In case of ambiguity about eligibility, the opinion of the Graduate Studies Committee of the concerned department will be considered final. 
  • All the HEC/University of Peshawar rules/regulations shall be applicable to the admitted scholars.
  • The University reserves the right to make changes in any program/admission procedure/regulations when and where deemed necessary.
  • Admission fee once deposited shall not be refunded.

APPLICATION:

  1. Interested candidates shall submit Online Admission Applications at the University website www.uop.edu.pk or by visiting http://gadmissions.uop.edu.pk.
  2. No hard copies are required for submission to the admission office.
  3. All the candidates are instructed to apply for admission well in time without waiting for the last date in order to reduce the burden on the online admission portal/website.
  4. No printed admission application form will be issued. Therefore, the candidates are required to apply online on the above-mentioned link only.
  5. Corrections, if any, in the online admission form will be made through email requests to helpdesk.oas@uop.edu.pk with proper evidence regarding requisite correction before the last date i.e. 19th September 2023.
  6. No corrections will be made after the last date.
  7. Admission dues should be paid on the date of interview.
  8. The admitted dues original bank voucher shall be presented to the concerned department/institute/centre/academy/college to confirm admission seat.
  9. The concerned department/institute/centre/academy/college will scan and upload the fee voucher on the admission portal for admission seat validation.

DOCUMENT CHECKLIST AT THE TIME OF INTERVIEW:

  • The selected candidates in the merit list (called for interview) must produce the following documents/requirements at the time of their interview:
  1.  Printed Application Form
  2. Original Bank Receipt
  3. Original relevant Degree & DMC/Transcript along with a Photocopy
  4. CNIC Copy
  5. Valid GRE/HAT General/NTS/ETC/ETS scorecard with a photocopy
  6. Service Certificate (for University Employees only)

  2. Before proceeding with the registration process, it is advisable to watch a short video tutorial available on the above-mentioned link
  3. Click SIGNUP to create your account
  4. Login to portal using your email and password
  5. Once you logged-in:
    1. Complete your personal information
    2. Provide your academic qualification details
    3. Upload your recent profile picture (passport size with blue background)
    4. Apply for admission to your desired program, respectively
    5. Once you apply, download and print the bank voucher Rs. 2000/- and deposit the requisite amount in any United Bank Limited (UBL) branch
    6. Upload the scanned copy of digital bank receipt of your deposit slip in the portal to complete the application process
