An awareness session by Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) about Gender Based Violence held in the department of Gender Studies in connection with UN 16 days of Activism on December 5, 2022. A large number of students including teachers participated in the said event.

Mr. Shahid, Provincial Coordinator HRCP, enlightened the students about the prevalence of Human Rights violation and Gender based violence in Pakistan. He also educated student about gender sensitive planning and budgeting for a proposed project.

Prof. Dr. Anoosh khan, Chairperson, Department of Gender Studies, also graced the event with her presence. She encouraged the students to broaden their views and perspectives about the world and develop their expertise in the field of gender studies.

Faculty members of the department of Gender Studies, Ms. Aisha Alam, Mr. Iftikhar Muhammad and Mr. Anwar Ul Haq, were also present at this event.
