ELIGIBILITY FOR MASTER (2-YEAR) PROGRAM:

  • Applicant’s having 3rd Division or having less than 45% marks in aggregate are not eligible for all the disciplines irrespective of categories (Open – Reserved).

MOST IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS:

  • The Applicant is advised to go through the eligibility criteria and follow the instructions given below in which admission is sought:
  • Admission will be offered purely on the basis of merit and merit for all the programmes will be determined on the basis of Bachelor marks.  
  • No printed Prospectus will be issued and applicants are advised to download Master Brochure from University official website www.uop.edu.pk for requisite information.
  • Candidates who have passed B.A / B.Sc exam in the current and preceding session will be given 1st priority in admission, while the others will be given 2nd priority.
  • Candidates are advised to write the relevant quota seat(s) where applicable otherwise Application will be processed on open merit only. Applicant may apply for more than single quota seats if eligible. Following are the eligibility for each quota failing which the applicant can’t apply for that particular quota seat:
    • Afghan Refugees having POR Cards can apply against Afghan quota.
    • Working Journalist quota is available only in the Department of Journalism & Mass Communication. 03 years experience  is required.
    • Army Personal quota is reserved for Servicemen only and not for their children / wards.
    • Only sportsman shall apply against Sports quota. Admission on Sports reserved seat shall be made strictly on the basis of open trials in the respective games.
    • Female Reserved Quota Seats are in Department of Physics and Mathematics only.
  • Candidates on waiting list must sign the attendance sheet in the concerned Departments/Centre/Institute within the specified dates, otherwise admission will not be offered.
  • Hafiz-e-Quran & Disabled applicants must bring admission form acknowledgement receipt at the time of appearing in respective test/interview on respective dates.
  • Admission forms received by post/mail or after due date will not be entertained.
  • In a situation, where University (if) received less number of students than the anticipated number of students, University will be at the liberty to either abandon the specific programme or transfer the candidates to some other departments or absorb them in fifth semester of BS programme in consultation with students.
  • The University reserves the right to withdraw any programme OR to modify the rules governing the programmes OR to make necessary amendments in the programmes OR courses of studies where deemed necessary.
