JMC holds a one day poster competition and exhibition
While inspecting the exhibition , pro Vice Chancellor Prof.Dr.Johar Ali appreciated the efforts of the students and their mentors and called upon students to rely on content first and design secondly, to create impactful communication for the larger society .
Speaking at the prize distribution ceremony, Pro-Vice Chancellor said that child marriages are still the talk of our society that is very lamentable because in his thinking the issue must be totally diminished from the society as it’s causing problems to motherhood , causing infanticide and under development to our society . He pinpointed out that India will take over China in population pyramid by 2027 as the Indian society has not overcome the rigid societal taboos related to early child marriages. He referred to Malakand division in that has withessing rising per family members to double digits , that may results in resource depletion’s and in lowering living standards .
He underscored the need of forgetting the past and move ahead for healthier society because early child marriages can bring a vicious cycle to society that may harm education , Health and development in big numbers.
Speaking on the occasion, chairman art and design Dr.Sher Ali called upon students to get to the soul of artist through understanding his or her role and then work out the design of the content . He categorically rejected that only visual board is suffice to create an artefact and emphasise that research work is fundamental to conceptualisation and idealisation of the art work.
The judge and communication specialist Ahtesham Abbas said that art is a lie that makes us reach the reality and today’s poster competition has totally impressed him about the rich talent that needed to be harnesss from khyberPakhtunkhawa people . He told audience that texture ,Style ,content and harmony all together makes the poster qualification easy. He called upon students to make their mind go out of their comfort zones and bring in rich ideas.
