Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC), University of Peshawar in collaboration with Intellectual Property Organization of Pakistan  (IPO-Pakistan) and National Centre of Excellence in Physical Chemistry (NCEPC), University of Peshawar has organized one day seminar on "Technology and Innovation Support Centre"  at NCEPC, University of Peshawar. Mr. Zahoor Ahmad, Manager, ORIC, University of Peshawar was the Chief Organizer.

The Chief Guest of the event was Meritorious Prof. Dr. Bashir Ahmad, Dean, Faculty of Life & Environmental Sciences; other honorable guests were Prof. Dr. Abdul Naeem, Director, NCEPC, University of Peshawar and Dr. Zia Obaid, Director, Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC), University of Peshawar.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Muhmmad Ismail, Director, IPO-Pakistan highlighted the IP Management in Pakistan and the importance of Intellectual Property Rights in the Field of Research and Development. The resource person, Ms. Faryal Javed, TISC Officer, IPO-Pakistan talked about the importance of Technology and Innovation Support (TISC) in the academia and also highlighted the TISC services provide to inventors, researchers and entrepreneurs. Around 70 Faculty and M.Phil/Ph.D Scholars of diverse field of specialization participated in the seminar.

The Prof. Dr. Abdul Naeem, NCEPC welcomed the participant and highlighted the objectives of the seminar.

Dr. Zia Obaid, Director, ORIC gives an overview of ORIC and brief the audience about the services that it is offering to the students and faculty in patent registration and business incubation.

The Chief Guest, Meritorious Prof. Dr. Bashir Ahmad, Dean, Faculty of Life & Environmental Sciences; lauded the efforts of ORIC and emphasis the importance of IP in academia. The seminar was concluded with certificate distribution ceremony.
