Peshawar: Chinese language classes (One month basic course) have been started at the China Study Centre, University of Peshawar (UOP) since, 1st October 2018.

In a statement, Prof. Dr. Zahid Anwar, Director China Study Centre stated that CPEC is a multi-billions project of the BRI and those with proficiency in Chinese language will have better job opportunities in the CPEC projects.

The memorandum of understanding between University of Peshawar and Northwest University (NWU),China has been signed under which ‘NWU’ will help ‘UoP’ for the establishment of Confucius Institute at the university.
