Negotiations were held between the delegation of University of Peshawar and officials of Northwest University in Xi'an China on 5th June 2017 for the establishment of Confucius Institute in University of Peshawar. Hopefully successful agreement will soon be reached in this regard. In Confucius Institute, students will be taught Chinese language for preparing them to fulfil the needs arising from CPEC related matters. Efforts will be made to avail the services of native Chinese teachers  for teaching Chinese language. In the next phase, courses on Chinese Culture will be introduced in the institute for the benefit of business community and students.
