Director attends high level HEC Committee(s) on Journals and books recognition

Director Pakistan Study Centre University of Peshawar Prof. Dr. Fakhr-ul-Islam attended two day meeting of the Social Sciences Committees on Journals and books recognition at Peshawar Regional Centre of Higher Education Commission on 27-28 April 2017. Dr. Tahir Ali Shah, Director Academic and Focal Person HEC coordinated the whole process. The two day meeting disposed of a heavy agenda. The performance of various journals was reviewed. Warnings were issued to those  journal who were not showing compliance to HEC guide lines. Several papers were upgraded on the basis of their performance and fulfillment of requirements. The meeting also took up the cases of a number of books for recognition. Some of them were recognized while majority were rejected due to non compliance to HEC criterion. Prof. Dr. Fakhr-ul-Islam hosted a dinner in honor of the members of the committees.
