WORKSHOP ON ORAL HISTORY AT PAKISTAN STUDY CENTRE: Pakistan Study Centre, Department of History University of Peshawar and a Karachi-based organization The Citizen Archives of Pakistan (CAP) jointly organized a Workshop on Oral History. It was held in the conference room of
Pakistan Study Centre. The workshop was inaugurated by Director Pakistan Study Centre Prof Dr. Fakhr-ul-Islam while Prof. Dr. Salman Khan Bangash History Department described objectives. The Executive Director CAP Swaleha Alam Shahzada gave a detailed presentation on the origin, development and importance of the oral history. Two trainers Alia Tayeb and Sultan Ali, from Citizen Archives of Pakistan (CAP) imparted training to the audience about various technicalities and requirements of recording and preserving oral history. The workshop was attended by faculty members and students of Pakistan Study Centre and Department of History University. The participants took keen interest in the session and asked many questions. Dr. Altaf Qadir presented vote of thanks to the participants and visiting team of the Citizen Archives of Pakistan (CAP)
