Students Showcase Creative Art in the Annual Exhibition Held at the University of Peshawar

The students worked themes like painting, communication and textile designing and around twenty thesis were on display in the event. The ones of note included violence against women as stigma on the reputation on this land of naturals and excellent interior décor offered at economical prices.
Student Mubashra Anwar worked on Viking Artifacts, Marwa Shafi on Aesthetics of Islamic Metal, Nazsih Khattak on Fashion Brand Identification, Samreen Noreen on Chinese Folk Tattoos, Henna Gul on Abstract Painting, Nazish Durrani on displayed old painting of Mohallah Sethiyaan, and Rizwan karim on the scenic Beauty of Gilgit Baltistan.
Vice Chancellor UoP Prof. Dr. Muhammad Rasul Jan was the chief of the inaugural ceremony. He was accompanied by Registrar Dr. Syed Fazli Hadi and others.
The Vice Chancellor on the occasion visited various stalls and appreciated the creative art work of the students. Addressing students he said that every good work needs to be shared and calibrated, and the department has provided a good platform to students to unearth their skills. This will improve confidence and broaden their canvas to build on it.
Dr. Jan sated that the University of Peshawar was looking for bridging the academia industry gap and bring the people who runs the market to the University for Benefit of both. He added that a display centre for the creative work of the students would soon be established so that their work is showcased for industrialists and entrepreneurs.
Chairman Department of Art and Design said that they were committed to transform talented and dedicated students into multidimensional professionals equipped with the skills in order to succeed in a world that continues to change and challenge.
