Pakistan Study Centre University of Peshawar arranged a Seerat Conference on April, 8, 2015. Principal Khyber Medical College Peshawar and writer of two books on seerat/Naat poetry, Prof Dr. Ijaz Hassan Khan was key note speaker. In his welcome address Dr. Fakhr-ul-Islam, Director Pakistan Study Centre.

University of Peshawar stressed the need for in-depth study of life and sayings of the Holy Prophet. He said that books, one in Urdu and the other in English, authored by Dr. Ijaz Hassan Khan are master pieces. The key note speaker Dr. Ijaz Hassan Khan said that Islam is a religion of peace and the Holy Prophet was mercy for the mankind. He said that those who are publishing blasphemous caricatures of the Holy Prophet should desist from harming sentiments of Muslims. Mankind needs interfaith harmony and mutual coexistence. Dr. Ijaz said that the Holy Prophet is a role model and acting upon his seerat can solve many burning issues faced by the World in general and Muslim Ummah in particular.
