Director Pakistan Study Centre University of Peshawar Dr. Fakhr-ul-Islam presented his paper titled “Envisioning Pakistan in the Light of 1940 Pakistan Resolution” in a seminar organized by Shaheed Benazir Women’s University Peshawar.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Razia Sultana presided over the event. Dr. Fakhar gave a back ground, content analysis and other details of the 1940 Pakistan Resolution. He also apprised the audience about role played by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the 1940 All India Muslim meeting at Lahore where Pakistan Resolution was adopted. He said that Pakistan Resolution was embodiment of resilience, unity and faith in constitutionalism. He said we have to adhere to these principles if we wish to solve our existing problems. Prof. Dr. Ijaz Khan of International Relations Department University of Peshawar and students and staff of Political Science Department Shaheed Benazir Women’s University also spoke in the seminar. In her presidential address Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Razia Sultana  said that if  youth is alert and focused on their destination, no one can harm Pakistan. She stressed the need that everyone should serve his country in his own capacity.
