First Batch of B. Ed ( Hons) Passed Out at the University of Peshawar


 

The first batch of around fifty B. Ed ( Hons) students have completed  their degree from the Institute of Education and  Research University of Peshawar. The program started under  Pre-Step was aimed at producing professional and qualified teachers at the primary, intermediate and secondary level with the objective of strengthening education at the gross root level.

 

 

Vice Chancellor UoP Prof. Dr. Muhammad Rasul Jan was chief guest of the graduation ceremony and awarded degrees and certificates among the prospective teachers. He was accompanied by Dean Faculty of Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Adnan Sarwar Khan and Director Institute of Education and Research Dr. Shafqat Perveen.

 

Addressing the graduation ceremony the Vice Chancellor said that quality education at the primary and secondary level was the basic need of time as it lays the foundation of a child’s mental development. And in order to achieve the desired objective quality professional teachers are imperative.

 

He added that a student psychological grooming can help them attain their dreams and opt for a profession of their choice, wherein the exclusively trained teachers can play a major role. He assured the students of taking their voice to those at the helm of affairs to get specified jobs quota for them in the market so that the B. Ed ( Hons) degree program could  flourish and become a preferred profession for youngsters.

 

Earlier Director Institute of Education and Research Professor Dr. Shafqat Perveen presented the performance review of the institute.
