Annual Event: Grand Stakeholders Evening

The Grand Stakeholders Evening on Oct 26, 2019 was organized by the Fundraising Office and Alumni Association of University of Peshawar with the idea to create a link between the University of Peshawar and the society at large. The evening was the first of its kind in this series and involved folk performances, Announcements about donations, Screening of the documentary “Ray of Enlightenment” and few key note speakers. Around 500 distinguished guests including alumni, philanthropists and other influential participated in the event. While the worthy Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa honored the event as chief guest.

The Grand Stakeholders Evening was termed as a great success not only within the University but across different universities and quarters in the province due to the following reasons;

• The event successfully raised around 5 Million PKR. 
• This was the first ever initiative from the platform of University of Peshawar which not only established a precedent within the UoP but also inspired other universities and institutions to follow the course.
• It provided an evening of social enrichment and reconnection between the university & its alumni and other stakeholders to mutually benefit from this vast and diversified network.
• Students performed in an open space within the university in front of such a big gathering after almost a decade which promoted University of Peshawar as a peaceful, vibrant and progressive place of learning and academic excellence.
• The event was the first of its kind in which quite a number of dignitaries participated
