Seminar on

Gomal Damaan Area Water Partnership (GDAWP) with collaboration of Department of Environmental Sciences (DES), University of Peshawar (UoP), European Union Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid, Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development (ACTED) and Pakistan Youth Parliament for Water (PYPW) are planning this half day seminar.

GDAWP is a national NGO registered under voluntary Social Welfare Agency at directorate of social welfare of KP. The organization is working towards raising social awareness amongst the public regarding water conservation, safe sanitation and improved hygiene management and climate change resilient communities, with special focus on women and youth participation.

Theme:

The basic theme behind conducting this Seminar is the Potential Role of Youth in Water Conservation, Food Security and Climate Change Adaptation in the Urban Areas of Peshawar.

Objectives of the Seminar:

  1. Sensitizing the campus youth about water related issues being currently confronted by Pakistan.
  2. Promoting water conservation and its efficient utilization.
  3. Awareness about national regulations regarding water conservation.
  4. Youth involvement as speakers to share their respective studies and motivate youth
