Ms. Rabia Fayyaz is currently employed at the Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies, University of Peshawar, as a Lecturer in Psychology. She did Masters in Clinical Psychology in 2006, and afterwards completed Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology with distinction from the Department of Psychology, University of Peshawar. She has completed her M.Phil in Clinical Psychology from the University of Peshawar. She started her career as a Clinical Psychologist in 2006 from an International Organization and has more than 7 years of professional experience in practicing psychotherapy and counseling. Over the years she has extensively provided diagnostic as well as counseling services to the mental health patients including victims of gender based violence, domestic violence, torture victims, trauma and armed conflict victims, disaster survivors, persons with physical disabilities, vulnerable street children and adolescents.
Her Ph.D. is in progress. Her research interests are in clinical psychology and the psychological effects of war and conflict. She believes in building a mentally healthy and peaceful society affected by psychological crises. Her interests in life are painting, writing and supporting individuals in their psychological empowerment.
