Research Interest:  My research interest circles around the palaeoenvironmental change events caused by the paleoclimatic anomalies particularly during the Cretaceous time period. These environmental perturbations have resulted in the deposition of black shales, biotic turn over and marine isotopic excursions. Other research interests includes establishing a reliable stratigraphic framework based on microfossils of various sedimentary sequences deposited in the sedimentary basins of Pakistan and the application of sedimentological and biostratigraphic techniques for the hydrocarbon exploration in these basins.
