Dr. Shabeer Ahmad Mian besides teaching and research has currently additional responsibility of BS Coordinatorship in the department since October, 2020. Recently he published research article in Nature Scientific Reports on Solar Energy water Splitting earlier this year. He obtained his Ph.D. in Nano Fusion Technology, from Pusan National University, South Korea in 2012. During PhD he worked on marine mussel adhesive protein using density functional theory (DFT) simulation. He went for Postdoc to the Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science (KRISS) and Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) where he spend almost two years. In 2014, during his postdoc at KIST he published a research article on fundamental understanding of mussel adhesion which was selected for the ACS press release in Langmuir. The Economist newspaper gave huge coverage to this research study in 2014. Dr. Shabeer came back to Pakistan where he joined Islamia College University Peshawar as an Assistant Professor. He acquired administrative, Research and industrial project experience as an Assistant Professor in the department of Physics, Assistant Director Higher Studies & Research (ADHS&R) and Research Associate in the Office of Research, Innovations & commercialization (ORIC), Islamia College University Peshawar. Currently Dr. Shabeer is working as an Assistant professor in the department of Physics University of Peshawar. Dr. Shabeer have working experience as reviewer of American Chemical Society (ACS), Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) advances, Current Analytical Chemistry (Cambridge) and Physical Chemistry and Chemical Physics (PCCP).
