Noor Gul earned his M.Sc in electronics from the University of Peshawar in 2005 and an M.S (CS) in telecommunication and networking from Gandhara University Peshawar in 2010. In 2019, he successfully obtained his Ph.D. in Electronics Engineering from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI). From April 2021 to August 2023, he served as a Research Professor (Post-doctoral fellow) at the Department of Electronic Engineering, Tech University of Korea, Siheung, South Korea. Before this, he contributed to the Provincial Earth Quick Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Agency (PERRA) as a network administrator / MIS manager from July 2007 to February 2012. Noor Gul's academic journey also includes tenure as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science, Northern University Nowshera, from February 2012 to October 2016. He is a Lecturer at the Department of Electronics, University of Peshawar, a role he has been fulfilling since October 2016.
His research interests cover a broad spectrum, including digital communications (Wireless Communication), solutions for 5G and 6G networks, Machine Learning, and statistical data analysis. He has also explored communication through Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, multi-agent aerial base station solutions for Internet of Things (IoT) and Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) networks, spectrum sensing, resource allocation, and interference minimization in Cognitive Radio Networks. Additionally, his expertise extends to Software Defined Radios (SDR), malicious and fraudulent user identification in cooperative, diverse networks, physical layer security, smart grid security, Intelligent Reflective Surfaces (IRS) design, signal processing, Soft Computing, and Artificial Intelligence.
