Introduction

Established in 1984 under the Faculty of Social Sciences, the Department of International Relations at the University of Peshawar is recognized as a premier institution in Pakistan. Benefiting from its strategic location in Peshawar—a regional crossroads linking Central, West, and South Asia—the Department offers comprehensive four-year Bachelor’s and MS/MPhil/PhD programs in International Relations.

Our state-of-the-art facilities include a well-equipped library featuring laptops, multimedia resources, and an extensive collection of up-to-date publications. This modern infrastructure supports a progressive academic atmosphere, further enhanced by a faculty engaged in cutting-edge research and innovative teaching. Throughout the year, the Department hosts conferences, workshops, and seminars that promote scholarly dialogue and professional development.
