Community Service Program

Semesters Duration (30 days) 90 hours/ 5 day activity per semester Groups Nature of Activities
3rd Semester 5 days --- 3 hours per day (15 hours per week) 15-20 Students
  • Education programs free Coaching classes for the poor students of SSC or HSSC at Govt; Institutions (English. Physics. Chemistry, Biology, etc)
  • Literacy program for illiterate youth or
   Adults at community level (teaching basic    writing, reading skills.   
  • Organizing seminars, workshops contemporary
 discoveries in the field of science for students  of underprivileged Govt. schools/colleges,  
  • Visits to Social Welfare Institutes like Special Education Centers and organizing any activities for special children which could benefit them.
  •   Blood donation camps
  •   Plantation campaign
 
  •   Exhibition for creating mass awareness against
  some social evils like eradicating corruptions   & drug addictions etc.  
  • Participation in construction of roads, laying of parks and play grounds plantation and construction of roads, laying of parks and play grounds plantation and afforestation anti-pest operations or relief work during pestilence, fire or other natural calamities, civil defense, relief work in under-prevailed
  • Or designing and implementing any such activities which could benefit poor segments of society and bring transformation in society.  (with the approval of Director CSP or HoD of their respective Department)
4th Semester 5 days --- 3 hours per day(15 hours per week) 15-20 Students
5th Semester 5 days --- 3 hours per day(15 hours per week) 15-20 Students

6th Semester

5 days --- 3 hours per day(15 hours per week) 15-20 Students

7th Semester

5 days --- 3 hours per day(15 hours per week) 15-20 Students

8th Semester

5 days --- 3 hours per day(15 hours per week) 15-20 Students
Report  

The supervisor/coordinator shall be required to compile a report on semester based activities at his/her Department Institutes and submit it to the Directorate of SWP. The Director SWP, will issue a certificate at the end of the semester.   The concerned coordinator shall incorporate the SWA 90 credit hours as Non-Credit Program in the transcript of BS students. However, the Department/Institute can conduct such activities for more than 15 hours per semester for covering the prescribed hours.
