The cooperation between the Embassy of the People Republic of China Islamabad and the University of Peshawar (UOP) is strengthening with passage of time. The Embassy of China has donated a large number of books to the main library of the University of Peshawar and assured further support to the faculty and students of the university. The books are related to different branches of knowledge including culture, history, society, science and technology. In this connection a ceremony was held in PC hotel Peshawar on 27th February 2018  in which Mr Jiang Han, political counsellor and Mr Wang of the Embassy , Prof Dr Mohammad Abid, Pro Vice Chancellor , Mr. Habib ur Rehman, Librarian, Mr Tahir Jan, Assistant Librarian and Prof. Dr. Zahid Anwar, Director China Study Centre of UOP participated. The Embassy is also finalizing the arrangements with the University of Peshawar for the establishment of China Corner in the main library of UOP. Students and faculty of the University are taking keen interest in these activities keeping in view the windfall of opportunities in the wake of CPEC.
