International seminar on, “Opportunities and Challenges: The Evolving Situation in South Asia and Sino-Pakistan Relations” was jointly organized by China Embassy Islamabad and CIIS, at Hong Kong Macau Centre, Beijing, China on December 14-15, 2017. Ten scholars from Pakistan presented their papers including Prof. Dr. Zahid Anwar, Coordinator, China Study Centre, University of Peshawar. In his welcome speech, Dr. Rong Ying, Vice President, China Institute of International Studies (CIIS) highlighted the significance of Pakistan and China Relations. In his keynote speech H.E. Mr. Masood Khalid, Pakistan`s Ambassador to China emphasized further strengthening of Pak-China Relations. Prof. Dr. Zahid Anwar presented his paper on, “Countering Terrorism through CPEC in the Region”. It was fourth seminar of the series on the theme.
