Day-2 Workshop On Future Governance Structure In FATA & An Alternate To 40-FCR: A Legal Perspective
Next day, the workshop was addressed by a set of another three experts who spoke about FATA from legal perspective on the 40-FCR and its implications. They also gave their suggestions for an alternate to the existing legal system. The participants asked to ponder upon the options and come up with appropriate and preferred solutions and recommendations.
The workshop utilized the framework of the synthesis report to develop a consensus for a viable solution and option of governance and legal system in FATA. The workshop, tailored for the FATA youth to deepen knowledge and understanding of young generation for their land of origin by:
-Identifying challenges of governance and legal aspects of FCR in border areas of Pakistan adjoining Afghanistan
-Involving youth in a consultative process for the FATA
-Educating FATA students’ on governance and legal system in FATA
-Knowing possible strategies to mitigate fragility of the region
-Giving the FATA youth an opportunity to compare and contrast the dynamics of FATA and governance as well as legal reforms
