Reunion of Department of History, University of Peshawar

The Department of History, University of Peshawar held its annual reunion on 17th December 2015, in the Area Study Centre's Conference Hall. It was chaired by the alumnus and Prof. Dr. Razia Sultana, Vice Chancellor, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University Peshawar. Chief guest Prof. Dr. Muhammad Rasul Jan, Vice Chancellor, University of Peshawar shed light on the importance of alumni association and their contribution to their Alma Mater. Senior most alumni attending the function included, Mr. Hafiz Mati-Ullah, Mr. Azeem Afridi, Prof. Zafar, Mr. Arbab Arshad Parvez, Mr. Muhammad Yusuf Khan Tahirkheli, Mr. Gul Akbar Khan, Mr. Said Asghar Khan, Mr. Tawakkal Ali Khan, Ms. Zainab Awan, and many others. Prof. Dr. Sarfraz Khan, Director Area Study Centre, Prof. Dr. Fakhr-ul-Islam, Director Pakistan Study Centre, and Prof. Dr. Adnan Sarwar Khan, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, were also among the guests. The faculty members of this Department also graced the event with their presence. The event had celebrated with enthusiastic spirit and senior members shared their memories with the audience. The alumni association paid regards to all the guests and for the financial support of Mr. Arbab Arshad Parvez, Mr. Yusuf Khan Tahirkheli, Mr. Gul Akbar Khan, Mr. Adnan Khan Afridi, Dr. Altaf Qadir, and Dr. Hanif-ur-Rehman. The function concluded with a lavish lunch.
