Reunion of Department of Environmental Sciences, University of Peshawar

The event started with recitation from the Holy Quran. Welcome address was delivered by Dr. Bushra Khan, Chairperson, Department of Environmental Sciences, University of Peshawar. In her address, she gave an overview of some of the Departmental activities and milestones achieved so far. Her address was followed by a speech delivered by Prof. Dr. Rasul Jan, Vice Chancellor, University of Peshawar. In which he focused on the role alumni can play in students and University development and can become productive partners. Later, Coordinator University of Peshawar Alumni Association (UOPAA), Prof. Dr. Syed Hussain Shaheed Soherwordi highlighted the importance of alumni get together. He stressed that professional alumni should be actively engaged in a number of mutually beneficial institutional activities. The last speaker of the event was Chief Guest Mr. Ishtiaq Umar, Environment Minister, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He appreciated the organizers for arranging such an outstanding event, which was followed by the comments and question and answer session from the alumni. Ex-students urged that such events should be arranged on regular basis. Skits were also performed by the current students. Mugs and pens were presented as a souvenir to the alumni. Dinner was served after the last session and marvelous fireworks concluded the evening.
