Reunion of Department of International Relations, University of Peshawar

The Department of International Relations organized its alumni reunion on December 21st, 2015 at Shiraz Gathering. A young energetic team organized the mega event bringing together almost three hundred ex-graduates. Prof. Dr. Adnan Sarwar Khan, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Peshawar graced the occasion as a chief guest. The significant part was the direct interaction between the former and current students. The speeches by MNA, Mr. Shehryar Afridi, former MPA, Mr. Sikandar Irfan, Wing Commander, Mr. Sohail Khan, Additional Secretary, FATA Mr. Yousaf Rahim, educationists, bankers, bureaucrats, and businesspersons significantly inspired the youth. Learning from the experiences of successful and well-established alumni had a deep and positive impact. The alumni enthralled with their lively singing, dance, poetry, and skits. All resolved to improve the Department and have closer linkage in future.

The event ended with paying respect to Dr. Jehangir, Assistant Professor, Abdul Wali Khan University, who had passed away on the same day, and all those who have left us for the eternal abode. High appreciation and special thanks was paid to all those who had strived hard for making the event a great success. The event was fully recorded and DVDS were made which were later on distributed amongst those who were present.
